Lauderdale Live Music Fest comes to Downtown Fort Lauderdale

LauderdaleLiveLogo03Lauderdale Live is a three day music and arts festival celebrating creativity and education in the arts. Downtown Fort Lauderdale will be infused with musical energy headlined by Grammy award winner Lyle Lovett, critic-darlings the Indigo Girls and multi-platinum hit makers Huey Lewis & the News. Preview a sampling of what the weekend will offer and enjoy an intimate evening of curated music, food and wine in a luxury setting along Fort Lauderdale’s beautiful New River.   • General Admission Weekend Pass grants you entry (and re-entry) to the festival on both Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy a full weekend of good music, eats, drinks and the warm sunshine of Ft. Lauderdale in December. Details here.
  • The VIP Weekend Pass gets you up close and personal, granting you access to the VIP viewing area along with entry to a private cash bar and exclusive restrooms located to the side of the main stages. Details here.
  • Captain’s Pass:  So you’re looking for a luxury getaway and a musical experience? The Captain’s pass includes Friday Discovery Night, VIP seating/viewing area and private bar/private restrooms on a yacht. Learn more here.
  • One Day Pass: The Saturday Pass grants you access to the festival on Saturday, December 6th. The Sunday Pass grants you access to the festival on Sunday, December 7th. QPQ’s Grille 401 Adventure

We recently tagged along with Go Riverwalk Magazine‘s Dining Destination writer Marci Boland Hanretta as she prepared her column for the February Issue. The subject of this month’s column was Grille 401 on Las Olas. The tasting, hosted by owner Kevin Blair, was a culinary adventure. Fresh ingredients, unique spices, explosion of flavors ending with luscious desserts. QPQ’s personal favorites noted. We ordered Bombay G&T’s to accompany our tasting, made impeccably by the bartender — we mention this because this very simple drink needs to be made precisely, with fresh and carbonated tonic and a slice of lime.
